Breakers 2-1?

Today is the day that all of the two-dozen fans that have watched the Breakers all through the entire season have been waiting for.

Tonight at 7pm the Breakers take on the Cairns Taipans in what is slated to be a 3 game finals series, for the opportunity to have a professional sporting team from New Zealand win an Australian professional league title for the first time in history.

"Act Natural...."
Mika has been fighting on with his knee, while Kirk Penny has been bringing it to the court right when he has needed to. If the Taipans have any chance (the Breakers have a 3-0 regular season record against them this season) they will have to shut down Mika in the paint defensively as he is a workhorse when it comes to defensive rebounds. No need to explain why Kirk would have to be shut down altogether- he is in form at present, draining buckets when he is called upon, without hassle.

Recently he was dubbed a one-man team by Perth coach Rob Beveridge- 'nuff said.

It is obvious that the NSEC will be a sellout for the match tonight. Just remember that some serious angry ranting will come of this if the Breakers slip up in game one - yet again. It is always a hard task to go away from home and get a win, something the Breakers had to do against Perth in their semi-finals series.

Aggression throughout the entire 40-minutes is key for either team, the pick from this blogger is that the Breakers will take out tonight's match, but in close fashion- tip them for 10 and under.
